Home-made beef burgers with Burger Boosted Mayonnaise:

Ingredients:

  • For the Burger Patties:
    • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 fat ratio is recommended for juiciness)
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    • Buns (toasted, optional)
  • For the Burger Toppings (optional):
    • Lettuce leaves
    • Tomato slices
    • Red onion slices
    • Cheddar cheese slices
    • Pickled cucumbers

    Instructions:

    1. Prepare the burger patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as this can make the burgers tough.
    2. Shape the patties: Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and form them into patties slightly larger than the size of your hamburger buns. Make a dimple in the center of each patty with your thumb to help prevent them from puffing up in the middle while cooking.
    3. Cook the burgers: You can cook the burgers on a grill, griddle, or skillet. If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. If using a griddle or skillet, heat it over medium heat with a drizzle of oil.
    4. Cook the burgers to your desired doneness:
      • For rare: 2-3 minutes per side
      • For medium-rare: 3-4 minutes per side
      • For medium: 4-5 minutes per side
      • For well-done: 5-6 minutes per side
    5. Toast the buns (optional): While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or on a grill for a few minutes until lightly browned and warm.
    6. Assemble the burgers: Once the burgers are cooked to your liking, place them on the toasted buns. Top with your desired toppings like lettuce, tomato, red onion, cheese, and pickled cucumbers.
